Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. The music she grew up with was classical, old boleros along with classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana has a passion for Tangos, opera, and every form of dramatic performances. Ana began learning and singing songs with her mother then began more intense vocal training when she was 16 under the renown Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. She studied in Guadalajara at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara before moving on to Toluca at Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. As a student and when she was a professional young in Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choruses. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. As a musician and teacher she has volunteered for various community-based projects because of her love and enthusiasm for music. Ana is also a previous part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that with her performance songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she can bring about a desire, specifically among the younger generation, for keeping this music alive.
