MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has made significant inroads into Latin pop. In 2017 his hit track from 2016, Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. He released his debut long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. It reached the number 8 spot in the Top Latin Albums chart. The following year, he collaborated with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca which reached number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. He collaborated together with Noriel on Mala Influencia in 2020 and the following year dropped his sophomore album chart-topping Dopamina. In 2021, he appeared in a duet with TINI on her most streamed single Maldita Foto. In 2023, 2000 with the hit song La Bachata was released. Turizo has a musical background, both his mother and elder brother also play music. He has said in interviews that music is compulsory. As a child, was playing the ukulele and piano. Although he initially wanted to be veterinarian, Julian convinced him that having lessons from a Cuban singing teacher would change his direction in life.
